On Monday, August 21, the United States will experience a total solar eclipse for the first time since 1979! Don’t miss this unique occurrence by joining our community at Wingate University Ballantyne’s Great American Eclipse Viewing Party, 1:30-3:30 p.m., at the Audubon Amphitheater. Viewers will experience a jaw-dropping near total eclipse at 2:41 p.m. when the moon will block 98.4% of the sun from our vantage point in Charlotte. Join us to enjoy music, food vendors, eclipse glasses, great giveaways and fun activities for all ages with special guest Steve Maney from KISS 95.1 FM who will MC the event.
The Audubon Amphitheater is located across the street from Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne (13139 Ballantyne Corporate Pl, Charlotte, NC 28277). Event parking is available at the amphitheater. Please follow the directional signage down to the amphitheater. For questions, contact Valerie Secker at firstname.lastname@example.org or 980-359-1024.
Appropriate eclipse glasses will be provided for attendees while supplies last. Astronomers predict it will darken, the temperature will drop and stars will become visible. This event is free and open to all, so invite your family and friends!
