Annual Signature Events

Many events and initiatives in Ballantyne benefit local organizations. Campus professionals and the greater Charlotte community are welcome to participate in annual activities in Ballantyne!

  • Ballantyne Movie Series
    • A night out can make a difference! Campus movie nights benefit local organizations. Held on Friday evenings, screenings of movie classics are hosted in Ballantyne’s Backyard or the Cullman Building. Check out the events calendar for upcoming Friday flicks!
  • Ballantyne Virtual Food Drive

    • Support Ballantyne’s Virtual Food Drive benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina every November. Monetary donations allow the nonprofit to deliver greater amounts of healthier food to underprivileged families in our region.
  • Ballantyne Wellness Week

    • Northwood Office features a week’s worth of wellness opportunities for the community at the end of October. Expect an onsite blood drive, free flu shot clinic and Halloween Health Fest that features local health and wellness vendors, food trucks, music and other festive activities.
  • Blood Drives

    • Convenient blood drives in partnership with OneBlood are held monthly in Ballantyne. Registration information for upcoming drives will be available on our homepage four weeks out.
  • Color the Park School Supplies Drive

    • The Ballantyne community comes together every August to collect school supplies for Classroom Central. Northwood Office offers multiple ways to support the cause each year to encourage participation and make a greater impact on local students in need. Classroom Central is a free store for teachers that assists more than 100,000 students who live in poverty throughout Charlotte.
  • Earth Day Event + Free Shredding & Recycling Opportunity

    • Celebrate Earth Day with the Ballantyne community every April! Learn about sustainable practices from local vendors while enjoying free secure shredding and onsite recycling.
  • Fitness at 11

    • Northwood Office challenges you to switch up your workout routine with various weekly outdoor fitness classes in Ballantyne. Find your flow at Yoga & Mimosas on Saturday mornings or test your endurance at Power Afterhours on Thursday evenings! Classes are hosted in partnership with SweatNET and led by local fitness instructors. For registration details, visit sweatnet.com/goballantyne.
  • Isabella Santos Foundation Race for Kids Cancer

    • The Isabella Santos Foundation 5K/10K for Kids Cancer & Fun Run is held in Ballantyne every fall. The foundation gives money to charities such as Levine Children’s Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House.
  • Live at 11

    • Northwood welcomes thousands to Ballantyne’s Backyard on the first Fridays of each month of the series. The outdoor concerts feature local bands, bites and brews. Each show supports a pressing need through local partnerships.
  • Markets at 11

    • On the second Saturday of each month, Northwood hosts an open-air market. The series attracts thousands of community members and features 50+ local small business vendors, live music, beer, wine, food trucks and more in Ballantyne’s Backyard.
  • Run! Ballantyne

    • Is your company looking for a little friendly competition? Run! Ballantyne attracts thousands of participants and benefits the YMCA’s annual campaign to support local families in need. Join us for a fun, impactful run through Ballantyne’s picturesque community.
