6 Things to Do in Ballantyne This Fall

Fall is almost here, and we’ve got a great lineup of events for the community to enjoy. From free workouts to charitable opportunities, here’s our list of six things to do in Ballantyne this fall.

1. Mix up your fitness routine with a free bootcamp series.
The Ballantyne community is invited to join a group workout led by Sara’s YMCA instructors at the Ballantyne Bootcamp Series every Thursday, September 6 – October 18, 5:30 p.m., at Brixham Tent. Afterwards, stick around to enjoy OMB and samples of Kombucha from Queen B Booch.

2. Run a 5K to help fight childhood cancer.
Join thousands of runners as they take on the streets of Ballantyne to raise funds for pediatric cancer research at The Isabella Santos Foundation 5K/10K for Kids Cancer on Saturday, September 29. This family-friendly event will feature a kids zone, food, giveaways and a silent auction. Strollers are welcome.

3. Enjoy a social hour and fitness event with the YMCA.
Head to Brixham Tent after work on Thursday, October 18 for Training on Tap, a happy hour with food trucks, local beer and wine, games, music and mingling plus free group exercise classes led by Sara’s YMCA instructors.

4. Celebrate wellness with local vendors and giveaways at the Ballantyne Wellness Fair.
Connect with local health and wellness vendors, receive valuable health tips and enjoy festive activities, food truck fare and great giveaways at the Ballantyne Wellness Fair on Friday, October 26, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Brixham Tent. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite pumpkin designed by local businesses and organizations in the annual pumpkin contest.

5. Take advantage of a free, secure shredding opportunity.
Clean out your desk at home or work and bring your documents to the Ballantyne Wellness Fair on Friday, October 26 to enjoy free, secure shredding with Shred-It.

6. Help provide food for those in need for this holiday season by donating to the Ballantyne Virtual Food Drive.
Help us fight hunger in our region by donating to the Ballantyne Virtual Food Drive benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina during the month of November. Ballantyne is encouraging monetary donations over physical donations because it allows Second Harvest Food Bank to deliver greater amounts of food and healthier options to our neighbors in need.
