- Ballantyne Equips Local Students with Over 100,000 School Supplies
We are excited to announce that through physical and monetary donations, our community has provided over 100,000 school supplies for local students in need through our Color the Park School Supplies Drive. In partnership with Classroom Central, the impact of these donations will make a significant difference in the lives of hundreds of children as they start the new school year, and we appreciate all who contributed to this important effort! Didn’t get the chance to donate? Contact your Community Director to learn how you can still support the cause.
We would like to recognize and thank some of the key partners for their generous support:
• City BBQ, Collective Goods, OMB and Shelton Vineyards donated a portion of all sales at the Ballantyne Social Hour
• Extended Stay of America collected funds and contributed over 200 packs of markers
• Liberty Mutual rallied their team to collect nearly 600 school supplies
• Northwood Office sponsored a Kits for a Cause project where volunteers assembled over 700 pencil kits and 1,000 packs of handmade flashcards
• SPX Flow raised money to provide essential uniforms and backpacks for Nations Ford Elementary
• Truliant Federal Credit Union’s Ballantyne branch made a generous monetary donation
• Volunteers served nearly 500 hours through Togetherhood, which, according to the Independent Sector, equates to an $11,500 economic impact
Joining together in charitable endeavors does make a difference, and we thank you again for giving students in our region a brighter future!
