Become a Virtual HELPS Tutor

Tutor 2-3 Charlotte students for 1 hour/week with HELPS and Read Charlotte. 

Read Charlotte is a community-wide initiative uniting parents, educators and community partners to improve children’s literacy from birth through third grade. Partnering with HELPS Education Fund (Helping Early Literacy with Practice Strategies) to create a virtual tutoring program, Read Charlotte is hoping to serve 600 CMS elementary students this school year.

Volunteer to be a HELPS Tutor, to improve students’ literacy using the organization’s research-based programs.

Become a HELPS Tutor:

1. Submit CMS background check
2. Complete a 3.5 hour virtual HELPS training program
3. Serve at least 1 hour/week with 2-3 elementary school students
