Calling All Volunteers: Make a Local Impact in BCP

Join us at Sara’s YMCA on Wednesday, March 23 to participate in a blood drive and volunteer project benefitting the American Red Cross.

Register online to donate blood with the American Red Cross by entering sponsor code “BCP2016.” The blood mobile will be parked at Sara’s YMCA from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. New donors will be prompted to create an online account, and walk-ins are welcome.

The blood drive will be hosted in conjunction with a community volunteer project to support the American Red Cross’s Home Fire Campaign. This project will be set-up in an assembly line style in Sara’s YMCA community room, where the Ballantyne community is welcome to stop by anytime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to prepare essential fire safety awareness kits for local residents.

It was recently reported that our region’s American Red Cross team responded to 30 separate house fires in just one weekend, assisting 91 people affected, so there is a great need for these educational materials to be distributed to at-risk neighborhoods in our community.

The project is organized by the Y’s Togetherhood committee, a group of tenant representatives whose goal is to streamline community engagement efforts and make a greater local impact by bringing convenient volunteer opportunities to Ballantyne Corporate Park.

Please contact [email protected] with questions, and thank you in advance for your support!
