Public Input for Rapid Transit Options in Ballantyne

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is seeking input on rapid transit opportunities in the Ballantyne and Pineville areas by hosting a series of public outreach meetings through June 15. These meetings will allow the community to share input on transit goals, constraints and opportunities to help provide a better understanding of the most effective rapid transit modes and alignment in the area.

Information presented at each round of public outreach will be different. The first round of meetings was held on April 13 and April 16 to introduce the study to the communities, present overall goals and collect baseline feedback.

The next round will be held on May 8 and May 11 to present ideas from the first-round while further refining the communities’ desire in a rapid transit corridor.

The last round will be held on June 12 and June 15 to present basic rapid transit recommendations while gauging public insight.
