The bluegrass band returns to TD Amp on October 17 with special guest Futurebirds. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m.
Trampled by Turtles formed in Duluth, Minnesota, in 2003 as a side project for frontman Dave Simonett after his gear was stolen, leaving him with just an acoustic guitar. Leaning into bluegrass and folk, he recruited a group of genre newcomers to create the band’s signature high-energy, genre-blending sound. Their crossover appeal has landed them at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Bluegrass chart on every record they’ve released, along with appearances at major festivals like Coachella, ACL Fest and Lollapalooza. Extensive touring with artists across genres has built a loyal fanbase.
