These businesses will join six others at the new mixed-use retail, dining and entertainment district in South Charlotte.

As Ballantyne Reimagined continues to take shape, Northwood Investors LLC and its affiliates have signed on three new tenants for The Bowl at Ballantyne™, set to open in 2024 – Jim Noble’s Bossy Beulah’s, North Carolina-based Arrow – Cuts & Shaves, and nationally renowned workout concept [solidcore].

“Jim Noble is a highly regarded local institution, and we feel fortunate to have two of his concepts coming to The Bowl,” said Ward Kampf, president of Northwood Retail. “Arrow is all about offering an experience with exceptional service, while [solidcore] is redefining fitness. These concepts further shape a compelling tenant lineup tailored for South Charlotte.”

Bossy Beulah’s
Opening 2024

Locally owned Bossy Beulah’s newest location at The Bowl at Ballantyne will be 2,775 square feet with a 1,300-square-foot patio. The concept’s signature item is the Beaut sandwich, a fried Joyce Farms chicken breast topped with house-made pickles and Duke’s mayo on a Copain bakery bun. Bossy Beulah’s is a tribute to owner Jim Noble’s great aunt, Beulah, who cared for him as a child and taught him how to fry chicken. This will be the sixth location in the Carolinas and will join fellow Noble concept Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen at The Bowl.

“Our team couldn’t be more excited to bring Bossy Beulah’s to Ballantyne,” said Noble. “South Charlotte has been on our radar for expansion for some time now, but we hadn’t found the right location until The Bowl came around. Northwood is doing an exceptional job developing this property and we look forward to joining the community.”

Arrow – Cuts & Shaves
Opening 2024

Arrow – Cuts & Shaves will open its fourth location in Charlotte in a 1,172-square-foot space on the southeast corner of The Bowl, across from Harriet’s Hamburgers. The concept, independently owned and North Carolina-based, offers high-quality, affordable haircuts and shaves, delivered with 'over-the-top' service. The standard short cut is $29, long cuts are $40 and buzz cuts are $20. All services include a complimentary beer. Arrow even has its own brand of beer, brewed in partnership with Charlotte-based Hopfly Brewing and Durham-based Fullsteam Brewery.

[solidcore]
Opening 2024

[solidcore], located next to Arrow in a 1,760-square-foot space, is a 50-minute, full-body, strength-training workout on a Pilates style reformer, that uses slow, controlled movements to break down the slow-twitch muscle fibers so that they build back stronger and leaner. With a focus on empowering communities and creating a space where everyone feels inspired, included and seen, [solidcore] is on a mission to help people create the strongest version of themselves.
