As part of Ballantyne’s ongoing efforts to create engaging open spaces and experiences, a new place to gather, learn and cultivate something meaningful together is coming soon. The Ballantyne Community Garden will be a permanent community space designed to bring people together, encourage stewardship and support pollinator health.

The garden is next to Brixham Park and close to the on-site apiary. It builds on Ballantyne’s commitment to sustainability and offers a hands-on experience to connect with nature.

What’s Coming & When

The Ballantyne Community Garden remains on track to open on Wednesday, April 22, Earth Day! Over the coming months, you’ll see the space come to life as planning moves into installation. We’ll continue to share progress along the way, so you can follow along and celebrate with us on opening day.

The space will house 30 raised garden beds (approximately 3’ x 7’ feet). Registration will allow for:
- Up to (1) bed per individual
- Up to (3) beds per company

Get Involved

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply curious about getting your hands dirty, there will be ways for everyone to take part – no experience needed!

March 31 | Dig-In Day
Get your hands dirty and help construct the raised beds for the community garden! Two shifts are available from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Register on the goBallantyne app!
