- Ballantyne’s Backyard Community Park
Ballantyne’s Backyard features over 100 acres of lush green space with miles of running and walking trails, rolling hills and fishing ponds the whole family can enjoy. The community park, located on the former golf course in Ballantyne, offers unparalleled open space and is accessible to everyone. Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome. View the map for access points, walking paths and restroom facilities. Private event reservations are not permitted at Ballantyne’s Backyard.
CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Some walking paths are temporarily closed for infrastructure improvements. Please use caution and watch for vehicles.
Northwood is investing significant capital to make Ballantyne more walkable and is currently working to add infrastructure, connect walking trails and create more engaging experiences for our community to enjoy in Ballantyne’s Backyard. These enhancements will provide additional park accessibility and direct connectivity to Ballantyne Reimagined, the retail and entertainment district expected to deliver in late 2023.
For project information, visit BallantyneReimagined.com.
The park is nestled between existing office buildings on the east side of Ballantyne and accessible from the main entrance off of North Community House Road. Parking is available at 11611 North Community House Road and neighboring parking decks. View the map for directions and parking. Explore more nearby recreation and leisure options.
The Charlotte community is invited to enjoy weekly Fitness at 11 classes and monthly Markets at 11 events in Ballantyne’s Backyard throughout the year.
All private or public events must be pre-approved by Northwood Office. Northwood Office holds the right to deny the use of Ballantyne’s Backyard for public and private events, and park policies are enforced by Ballantyne Security. For community event inquiries email [email protected].
