The American Heart Association and Sara’s YMCA hosts National Start Walking Day in Ballantyne to promote healthy living and physical activity. The event includes healthy vendors, giveaways, and a short walk around the Park to encourage everyone to get out and get healthy.
Ballantyne Corporate Park facilitates a park-wide food collection for Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Donation barrels are placed in building lobbies and monetary donations are encouraged to help our results continue to grow each year. The Ballantyne community comes together every July to collect school supplies for Classroom Central. Different challenges in the Park are promoted each year to encourage participation. Classroom Central is a free store for teachers that supports more than 100,000 students that live in poverty throughout Charlotte.
The Isabella Santos Foundation 5K/10K for Kids Cancer & Fun Run is held in Ballantyne Corporate Park the last Saturday in September. The foundation gives money to charities such as Levine Children’s Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House.
