On Saturday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m., celebrate Ardbeg Day with The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne. Perched on the southern coast of Islay, Ardbeg Distillery has forever held a deep connection to the sea. Enjoy an in-depth whisky tasting and the chance to encounter mysterious 2017 Limited Edition Ardbeg Day bottling, Ardbeg Kelpie, as it is released to the world.

During this exclusive Whiskey Club event, we will taste Ardbeg’s brand new unreleased Kelpie, in addition to its 10-year, Correyvreckan and Uigeadail. We will also explore the Ardbeg “Untamed Islay Experience” in Virtual Reality! Slàinte!

Run! Ballantyne Makes an Impact

More than 1,880 runners ran through Ballantyne Corporate Park in the YMCA’s 13th annual Run! Ballantyne on May 20. 8K, 5K and Fun Run participants joined family and friends after the race to celebrate with a DJ, food truck, kid’s activities, recovery stretching classes at Sara’s YMCA and more. Thanks to event sponsors and runners, Run! Ballantyne raised more than $71,000 for the YMCA’s Annual Campaign, which benefits underprivileged kids in our community. Thank you for making a difference in our community!

Charlotte Chamber Hosts Cyber Security Workshop

Northwood Office CIO and Vice President of Operations Ted Mueller led a Cyber Security Workshop for the Charlotte Chamber on May 18. Ted shared valuable information with the Chamber, including how to educate, protect and respond to security breaches and keep their businesses safe.

Tenant Golf Night

Ballantyne Corporate Park tenants are invited to play the course at The Golf Club at Ballantyne on Tuesdays and Wednesdays now through August 30* for only $30 after 4:45 p.m.

Tee times are required. Please call The Golf Club at 704-248-4383 to make your reservation. You are welcome to bring a guest! The $30 fee includes a non-alcoholic drink at the Pavilion. Rental clubs (including six golf balls) are available for $15.

Join Charlotte Air Awareness for a free lunch seminar, Air Quality 101, on Thursday, June 15. This seminar will cover the air quality issues we face in the Charlotte region, health impacts, ways to protect your health and ways to curb pollution.

Earth Day

Results from Ballantyne’s Earth Day Event

The results are in, and our community made a huge impact at Ballantyne’s Earth Day event on April 20! Check out the results:

Heineman Foundation collected 4,301 pounds of computer equipment
Shred It shredded over 15,000 pounds (7.5 Tons) of recycled documents
Goodwill collected 727 pounds of household and clothing goods. Approximate Revenue for Mission: $796
Sam’s Club recycled two full boxes of used batteries and light bulbs
• The Mecklenburg County Sherriff’s Office collected 8 boxes of old and unused medicine, which equates to over 100 pounds. These drugs and their containers will be safely disposed.  
Plyler Paper collected over 1,000 pounds of ballasts from Ballantyne Corporate Park.
