The April Ballantyne Breakfast Club meeting has been rescheduled for May due to scheduling conflicts. The rescheduled date will be posted on the Ballantyne Breakfast Club’s website. Topic of discussion will include an update on Northwood Office, the new owners of Ballantyne Corporate Park.

Grab your coworkers to form a corporate team or register as an individual to run the 8K, 5K or Fun Run through Ballantyne Corporate Park. Run! Ballantyne is not only a great team-building opportunity but is also a great way to give back to the community.

When you run in Run! Ballantyne, you support the YMCA’s annual campaign, which gives children in need the opportunity to participate in programs like Afterschool, Summer Camp and Youth Sports that build confidence and teach important life skills.

Staybridge Suites Unveils Renovations

Staybridge Suites Charlotte Ballantyne has unveiled an extensive renovation. The upgrade includes a complete transformation in all guest suites. In addition to new furniture, drapes and linens, suites feature new stainless steel appliances and carpet. National Walking Day

National Walking Day

Ballantyne is celebrating National Walking Day! On Wednesday, April 5, join us at the Brixham Tent for a 30-minute walk through the beautiful Corporate Park from noon to 1 p.m. A warm-up will be led by Sara’s YMCA exercise instructors starting at 11:30 a.m., so attendees are encouraged to come early to get fit tips from the instructors!

All participants will enjoy healthy snacks from Whole Foods Market and have the chance to win a pair of running shoes! This event is free and open to the community, so invite a friend!

Earth Day

Save the Date: Ballantyne Earth Day Event & Recycling Opportunities

Join us for Ballantyne’s ninth annual Earth Day event on Thursday, April 20 to learn more about sustainable living in Charlotte and celebrate our Earth’s environment! Stop by the Brixham Tent between 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to visit with over 30 local vendors while enjoying music, food truck fare and many great giveaways.

Attendees will also have the chance to adopt a new best friend with South Charlotte Dog Rescue, purchase a Fresh Start Kit from Pop Up Produce, and take advantage of free, secure shredding and many other recycling opportunities! The shredding and recycling area will open near the tent at 7 a.m.

What items will be accepted?
• Donate clothing, shoes, accessories and gently used, functioning household items with Goodwill. Please note that Goodwill does not accept the following items: mattress and box springs, tube TV’s (only flat screens), paints, items with propane or kerosene in them.
• Safely recycle your used batteries (A, AA, AAA, C, D, 9v, watch and hearing aid batteries) and used, unbroken light bulbs with Sam’s Club Pineville.
• The Mecklenburg County Sherriff’s Office will provide a secure medicine drop to properly dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and other medical supplies, including syringes, eyeglasses and EpiPens.
• Donate used, functional electronics (computers, laptops, printers, fax machines, cell phones, etc.) with the Heineman Foundation of Charlotte. All recycled contributions will be wiped clean following U.S. Department of Defense standards. TVs will not be accepted.
• Help us save hundreds of trees by shredding your confidential documents in a secure environment with Shred-It.

Whiskey Club

The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne

Join the Whiskey Club of Ballantyne for Utah’s Whiskey History at Gallery Restaurant on Friday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. Trevor Hague, Regional Manager of High West Distillery, will detail the history of whiskey in Utah, as well as the first whiskey-fest out West, “Whiskey Street in Salt Lake City.” Hague will also discuss whiskey’s medicinal purposes, the High West Distillery in Park City, Utah’s success and outstanding products within its portfolio.

The cost is $65 per person (plus tax & gratuity), and space is limited. Reservations are required at 704-248-4100.
