The bridge connecting The Ballantyne section of the greenway to Lower McAlpine Greenway has been installed as progress continues towards the November 2023 opening. Fencing has been removed at Phase 2 and 3 where the path extends behind Crawford Pond.

Part of the greenway path along Ballantyne Corporate Place is now usable. Work at Phase 1 has begun on Mecklenburg County land and will continue with final connection occurring late November 2023. Phases 2 and 3 multi-use path work is complete. Final landscaping work is being done and fencing will be removed once complete.

The final path will connect Lower McAlpine greenway to Ballantyne Corporate Place, including The Bowl, The Amp, Stream Park and more. The connection will enhance accessibility and provide more opportunities to encourage wellness.
