Get to know the acts:
The Wrecks
Alternative pop band The Wrecks will perform a free show at The Amp on Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. The group is comprised of Nick Anderson (lead singer), Aaron Kelley (bass), Billy Nally (drummer) and Nick Schmidt (guitar). Hailing from rural Wellsville, New York, Anderson built the group from scratch. In search of like-minded souls who loved the punk and alternative sounds he preferred, Anderson turned to the internet. He recruited Kelley, Nally and Schmidt to road-test a new band: The Wrecks. The band’s top five tracks on Spotify have been listened to more than 80 million times, and their first single, “Favorite Liar,” was a Top 40 Alternative Radio hit. Their most recent single, “Sonder,” finds The Wrecks’ music evolving sonically and lyrically while keeping close to their alternative-pop roots.
Suki Waterhouse
International singer and actress Suki Waterhouse will perform at The Amp on Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets start at $23 and are on sale now. Waterhouse, a London native, is a presence throughout music, film, television and fashion. Her most streamed song, “Good Looking,” was released in 2022 and has been played over 150 million times on Spotify alone. She initially teased out this facet of her creativity with a series of singles, generating nearly 20 million total streams independently. In late 2020, she finally dove into making what would become her full-length debut album, “I Can't Let Go,” with producer Brad Cook. Now, she’s introduced her next chapter with "Moves" and "My Mind."
Eli Young Band
Country hitmakers Eli Young Band will perform at The Amp on Veterans Day, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $30. Since the band’s formation as college classmates 20 years ago, they have amassed 14 Billboard charting singles, including four No. 1 hits via 3x Platinum “Crazy Girl” and 2x Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” plus Platinum “Love Ain’t” and “Drunk Last Night,” while also earning an ACM Award for Song of the Year as well as multiple GRAMMY, CMA, CMT, ACA and Teen Choice Award nominations. The musical band of brothers – Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson – play their own instruments, write their own songs and cling fast to their Texas roots. While selling out venues from coast-to-coast as strong headliners, EYB has also shared the stage with Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Chris Young, Darius Rucker and Dave Matthews Band.
