The Amp Takes Shape
Structure, tiered seating, concessions and more underway
The amphitheater's steel framing and exposed concrete walls are complete, and the tiered seating area, concessions and restrooms are taking shape.
The venue will anchor the North end of The Bowl dining and retail district and host ticketed and free events for up to 3,500 attendees, with a high-tech sound system and ample space for concessions and food trucks. In addition to national and local music acts, programming will include festivals, markets, fitness classes and more, establishing Ballantyne as a regular destination for Charlotte residents. The venue is expected to open to the public fall of 2023.
