Citigroup has opened its new Ballantyne office with a $16.1 million investment and expanded its Charlotte presence.

The 90,000-square-foot space, located at the Gragg Building at 11225 North Community House Road, will house Citigroup Technology. Citi plans to add more than 500 jobs in the region by 2027, with hiring focused on risk management, client credit and personal banking.

“This expansion deepens our commitment to Charlotte,” said Edward Skyler.

The investment underscores Charlotte’s strength as a leading financial center, as well as Ballantyne’s continued momentum as a destination for companies seeking top talent, connectivity and a high-quality workplace environment.

Citi is also investing in the local community, including a $50,000 donation and volunteer support for Nourish Up.
